Hey hey. I am officially done with school for the summer, 1 more year to go!! I did get straight A’s this semester which is awesome because I worked really hard. I am back in the 757 until next weekend, then heading up to PA and back to Baltimore. I have been trying to get caught up with my concert photography. I just posted Strike Anywhere and River Boat Gamblers from back in March. I shot a few shows recently including the Bamboozle Roadshow with Saves the Day, Armor For Sleep, Set Your Goals, Metro Station and Lydia; The Kills with Telepathe and the Thrice, Circa Survive and Pelican show. I’m really excited to get those up. All were really awesome shows. So check back soon for those plus my old ones that I haven’t gotten to either! I will be working on them this week! I am also going to try to figure out how to make the pictures appear larger because they look so small or if it is possible to make slideshows. I don’t know. I have a few things like that to do, I also have to speed up my website..apologies.

I had my final crit today for my Junior Seminar class, it went really well. My teacher is awesome and she does amazing work: check out: www.connieimboden.com I really feel like she pushed me to bring my work to the next level and to understand what is important to me.
I also have had a few interviews for internships these past weeks. I ended up taking an internship with the Photography Department of the Baltimore Sun newspaper! I am SUPER EXCITED!!!! I start May 27th and am really looking forward to it. I am going to go out with photographers on assignment and shoot and get feedback and do all sorts of stuff. I really feel like this is going to be an amazing learning experience. I’m sure I will be posting things I’m doing there once that gets started so be on the look out.
I am almost finished with the semester. I have a paper where I critically analyze myself to see where I come from and what theories affect my way of thinking for my Critical Inquiry class. Then I have a meeting on Thurs with Tom to discuss how the Waxter Juvenile Justice Project went (which was awesome! We had the final exhibition on Saturday and it went great. Definitely well worth all the work. I will really miss going to see the girls each Friday) and then I just have my color (Lexington Market series) crit on Friday… THEN I’M DONE!!
I’m definitely ready to go home for a little while and spend time with my family and friends back home.
I will continue to post things now that I can actually edit them!

I’ve been so busy lately, so I am trying to get caught up with pics. I got a good start tonight, here are the O’Death pics from the April show with Murder By Death and Kiss Kiss at the Black Cat in DC. (Those pics will be up shortly!!)
The lighting at the Black Cat is always somewhat difficult to work with (really dim and usually red) but I am happy with the outcomes especially the drummer pics, I was able to get some more interesting shots than usual since he was closer to me than they usually are at most venues and I had a great point of view. As always, let me know what ya think!
I am determined to update this blog updated, so I figured I would let you know what I’ve been up to recently. I am so behind on personal projects since school has been taking up all my time!!!! I have been really busy and working really hard. Only two weeks left and then it will be summer – time to relax and work on fun stuff. It has been a really good semester though, and pretty rewarding. I feel like I produced a couple good bodies of work and am excited about getting them finished and matted over this next week. I started scanning this work, and will be posting images when I get a chance (probably once school is out). I also have a ton of pics I shot over spring break too that were never used for anything school related.
I have been doing a project the whole semester with a couple other students teaching a photo program at a juvenile justice facility and that has been a really great experience. It is wrapping up next week and there will be an exhibition on May 3rd downtown which will be really fun and exciting. The girls were great and have come up with some really nice work.
I also shot some behind the scenes and studio shots of one of the designers for the MICA fashion show on Saturday. That was pretty fun, and she had some awesome clothes made out of balloons! Super colorful and bright. Ian came along and helped me out so that was cool. I am about finished with them and I will post some of the shots.
I am also in the process of finding an internship for the summer! I have a couple in mind and hopefully I will be able to do one of them, that would be so awesome! So, I will definitely be in Baltimore for the summer.

I’m behind on my music photos, but have some really great shots and can’t wait to put them up and appreciate any feedback/comments/criticism. I will try to get a few up in the next few days.

ALso, I’m hoping to get a photo pass for, but definitely going to see Saves the Day/Bamboozle Roadshow and Circa Survive in the next few weeks! YAY!

I finally finished my new website for my photography and I currently have this section called New Work, where I will basically be updating with my newest school work and side projects. I realized it was basically going to be like a blog and figured it would be a heck of a lot easier to update this rather than redoing a flash file every time!!! So hopefully I will keep with it and update frequently. Anyhoo… that’s whats up!
I’m gonna post some of the newest band photography that I have finished: Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Flogging Molly, and the Mighty Stef.
